Get the Look: Kim Kardashian--or How to Wear Over the Knee Boots!

New Auntie, Kim Kardashian, is not one to shy away from the spotlight and so she always has to look her best. There is no doubt about it that even when she is dressed “down” she manages to look spectacular. She always manages to mix hi-low items effortlessly. She is a perfect example of how you don’t need to dress designer in order to look fab. You just need to use accessories that make the outfit pop (In Kim’s case she used a $4500-ish Hermes Birkin bag)

Some of her dressed down staples are leggings with a sheen to them, boots that have something unique about them ( in this case we have the over the knee to set them apart) and of course a simple, but not really, top.

We re-created her look with some Windsor staples that every girl should own because they will wear them again and again! You can get the top, leggings, and boots and the blazer (which is 50% off!) for under $120.

Get the Look: Jessica Stroup--Biker Chic

I know that I'm slightly obsessed with the leather jacket trend at the moment but I can't help it I'm in love! There is nothing more versatile in a girl's closet than an animal friendly vegan motorcycle leather jacket (yes, Windsor loves fashion AND animals lol). Take a cue from Jessica Stroup aka "Silver" from 90210 and add a little something to basic jeggings by throwing on this jacket. This outfit is the perfect casual movie date night look. It screams "Yes, I look great and all I did was grab this jacket on my way out and no I don't need 2 hours to get ready." Now even if we do need extra time to figure out the accessories our dates don't have to know. You can get the top, shooties, jewelry and clutch at Windsor too but really all you need are the jeggings and jacket the rest of the items may be in some of your previous Windsor purchases!

White is the New Black--For Now....

Lately we have been seeing cute a few starlets like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and J.Lo rocking the LWD or the "Little White Dress." It seems that white is the new black. Given that the weather has been so weird and now its been hotter for a longer time people are still kinda tan and there is nothing like a great white dress to show that off! We have 3 different white dresses that we are in love with.
The first dress is a white sheath dress with pockets (and you know that we are crazy about pockets!) that can be worn to the office with a cute blazer (yes the blazer strikes again!) and then to dinner. The second white dress is for the rocker chick. Its super trendy in a simple kinda way. The studs create this rhinestone effect without going over the top. The metal zip all down the front is the perfect accent. The last dress is a more formal white dress the thing that makes it special is the black straps. That touch of color makes it easy add chunky black bangles or chandelier earrings!

Get the Look: Jenny " Leather Jackets are the New Headbands"

In this week's episode (much like every GG) the fashion was absolutely to die for! One of our fav looks was Jenny's when she was walking towards deb practice. It was perfection! It had this rocker chic vibe with a touch of glam that just worked! Since we always feel that there needs to be a little bit of glitz in our outfits we decided to use a skirt that had a little more "wow" but still screamed rocker chic. Our embellished mini is perfect! We used one of our closet must haves again- the motorcycle jacket, some basic fishnet tights and a peep toe bootie and cami to complete the look. Perfect for deb practice, coffee or dinner with the girls!

Get the Look: Kim K--What this ol' fab outfit...

As always Kim Kardashian manages to throw on something as simple as a pair of leggings and a jacket and look utterly fab! Love her little sequin jacket almost as much as our little jacket. The main thing about this jacket is that it has a detachable hoodie!. The latex leggings are another Fall must along with the gladiator booties. Throw on a simple chiffon top with a black and white print and voila--fabulosity!

Closet Must Have: Motorcycle Jacket

This weekend while going through my closet I realized that there are some things that I bought a few years back that are now coming back in style. To be honest I don't think some of these things ever really leave just because they are such easy pieces that can be dressed up or down regardless of the season. During this Fall closet cleaning mess I had an epiphany! Why don't we create a few posts about must have closet items and then make different outfits from these basic items! I mean how many times do we get a last minute invite to the movies and we go crazy because we can run to Windsor to grab something new and cute? Well with this new Windsor-ified closet we'll try and avoid future fashion crisis.

Closet Must Have #1: Motorcycle Jacket

This season it seems that vegan (animal free/friendly) leather is all over the place. The moto jacket is one of those things that never really leaves fashion. It usually just gets put in the back of the closet and forgotten about until we stumble upon it again. When we stumble upon it we wonder why we ever left it in the first place! Its one of those cute items that can be worn with dresses, denim, skirts, shorts, whatev. Most celebrities right now are rocking the heels with the skinny jeans and the jacket.

Here are 3 Windsor versions of this cute trend. I'll post some different outfits later on using these jackets (is it bad that I have all 3? They are all cute and different anyway.....right lol?)

Get the Look: 'Lo' Bosworth: Caffeine Please!

Lo Bosworth from The Hills has been the only reason that we have been tuning into the show lately. Her style is always so cute and simple and it always seems to work for different things by taking away or adding some accessories. We love this morning look on her because its something so easy to do! The blazer is the fall staple and for under $20, it is a steal! This style works with any leggings but we like to add something funky to our look so we paired our simple white top with some zip leggings and of course some platform heels!

Get the Look: 'Lo' Bosworth: No Accessories Required!

It seems that the economy has allowed for the tried and true adage to come to the surface. Necessity sure is the mother of invention. That is the case of the super cute Lo Bosworth from The Hills! Now her look includes a few different pieces but Windsor makes it very easy to get her look with the cute faux denim dress with studs on the waist. Since its Cali and the sun has been out the lighter version works best but as the cold months start to arrive the darker version might work better. (I mean how cute is the bubble skirt!!!)

Look for Less: Serena Van Der Woodsen

Spotted: Serena on the Upper East Side sporting a fabulous little casual outfit. Burberry scarf, trendy riding boots and the skinniest skinnies. Since we can't all have a 6 figure trust fund we have to find alternative means of looking Upper East Side chic on a recessionista budget. Luckily we have Windsor stuff to get us by lol. These riding boots are a must for any closet ($46.90) . The skinny jeans are very reminiscent of Gucci, once again the leather bomber jacket makes an appearance! Add a chunky scarf and tan sweater and tote and you're set!

Look for Less: Hilary Duff on Gossip Girl

Once again Hilary Duff brings out her chic ways to the city. Here is such an easy look that you can wear to the office, class, and then take your jacket off and head out for a night on the town! What we love about her style is that she always seems to wear the same thigns but in a "new" way. By having a few basic pieces in her closet, Hilary makes sure that she can always pull a fabulous Rachel Zoe-approved look. Here she is wearing the ever versatile PENCIL SKIRT and LEATHER BOMBER JACKET. She added a little color with her TOP, which she can show off when she takes off the bomber since the back has a cute sequin design and she downplayed the hemline of her secretary skirt by adding cute CHUNKY BOOTS and TIGHTS.

Get the Designer Look for Less: Dolce & Gabbana!

In these Recessionista days a girl dreams of buying designer items. Realistically, though, spending a few thousand dollars on a dress won't be happening any time soon. I mean, I hink we would much rather buy a whole outfit of items that we can wear again this Fall. We loved the cute, chic dresses that the Paris Fashion Shows for Spring 2010 had. D & G had looks that were perfect for the transition between Winter and Spring! We loved the opaque tights with the bright and neutral colored dresses! Our whole look is under $150!! The Venus dress is under $80 and the jacket is under $50 and it is something that you'll wear again and again!!

Frugalista Finds: Body Con Dresses Under $50

The body con dress style is the easiest trend to rock this season and Windsor has some affordable finds that will blow anyone's mind. Most of these styles are under $50 so you don't need to spend alot to get star style. Although these dresses are fairly simple, you don't need alot of accessories to stand out. Simple is best when it comes to these dresses so that you don't let the dress wear you. In this dress YOU are the main focus.

There are some many reasons to love these dresses. Mainly we love these dresses because we can totally glam them up with some killer heels and a cute little leather bomber jacket and we can wear them again in the summer with some gladiator sandals. The only real accessory that is a must in these body con dresses is
confidence. I guarantee that you will leave anyone in your path speechless and while still keeping your wallet full!

The Look for Less: Hilary Duff!

Hilary Duff is one of those celebrities that can always manage to look pulled together with such ease. We love her look here! The super girly secretary skirt paired with the very guy-ish chambray shirt look classic without looking sloppy. We would do a more edgy shoe like the cut out bootie just because it kinda plays off the the bf shirt but heels or ankle boots would work with this cute little outfit!

Teen Fashionista

Few celebrities can emit such a protective response like country darling, Taylor Swift. I have to admit that I am a huge fan of Taylor's. She is such a relatable and genuinely nice girl. She exudes confidence and style and reminds me a young Grace Kelly (she's a little royal in Windsor's eyes) She is the perfect role model mostly because she, herself, admits that she isn't perfect. That in itself, nowadays, is enough of a reason to love her. So many starlets have gone the way of the troubled child star but Taylor has kept herself relatively free of publicity—that is until a certain someone decided to rudely interrupt a small awards ceremony. At the risk of this post becoming an ode to Taylor we're going to stop ourselves and focus on what we absolutely love and envy about Taylor….Her fashion sense.

Taylor has made one thing abundantly clear: no matter where you go dress up and show up. She wears dresses almost exclusively and that is just a miracle in this denim kinda world. Her chic style can be casual or glam but regardless of the event, you can see that Taylor wears the clothes, she doesn't let the clothes wear her.

Homecoming 2009 is taking a cue from her style and we've recreated her cutest outfits without breaking the bank. The first look is just a publicity still but we just think the ivory is so cute!

The next look is just a simple black and white look.

We also love her love of sequins like in this dress!

The last look is, of course, a red gown. Taylor truly is the Lady in Red!

Pretty Purple Princess

Purple has always been the color of royalty. It's one of the reasons that purple is one of the main colors you see throughout Windsor. I think at one point or another we've all gone through a purple phase, probably as kids. Now I can't seem to come up with the reason for it stopping being one of my fav colors. Purple is just so cute without being too Barney the dinosaur if you know what I mean. It's not too kiddie-ish.

I love, love, love the deep purple cocktail dresses that have been coming out lately. They look like little gems to me. I love that they are so simple and you don't need a whole lot of accessories to go with them. The dress always takes center stage so for someone on a budget (like me!) being able to buy just the dress and use heels and jewelry from my closet is awesome. I love the pockets (yes pockets again!) on the strapless one but the cute little bubble hem on the purple dress with a bow is just so girly that I can't decide which I want more. Dilemma. Look at all of the purple options you'll have!

Look for Less: Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale has evolved from a Disney sweetheart to a bonafide stylista. I love her boho chic style. She mixes high end Louboutin heels and a Louis bag with affordable pieces. I loved her simple California cool look at the Emmys this year. I think she was a little underdressed for this particular event. I mean the Emmys and the Oscars are the ceremonies where you can kinda go all out and get a full blown ball gown. Still I love the whole look for a party or for a dinner date. Here is the look from I love the strapless dresses with pockets Windsor has been bringing in because I never really know what to do with my hands. The heels are ones I can wear more than once because they are so simple and they will go from Fall to Spring and they are extremely affordable! Last but not least are the accessories. My favorite part of the entire outfit is the belt. This is the iconic SATC belt and I wear it with everything. It has a magical way of pulling any outfit together and for under $20 I got 2 lol.

Fierce is the New Black

This season the hottest trend isn't a style, a piece of clothing or a color. The "it" item is a fierce attitude! Nothing gives me a feeling of fierceness like a hot dress. Everywhere I look there are bold prints and vibrant jewel tone colors that can make any fashionista feel like "wow!" What better way to stand out and feel like a million bucks than to be "that girl" The one with the killer dress and the attitude to match. These dresses are absolutely fantastic. They are simple not gaudy. A lot of dresses this season seem to have some over the top icky quality but these 4 have the perfect balance of detailing and color. Eva Mendez just wore this absolutely eye catching dress and it just goes to show that when done right colors, and print can be loud without overshadowing you.

Homecoming Dresses: The Long and Short of It

It is rare to find a perfect dress in both a long version (for you lucky tall girls) and a short version for us girls that are on the shorter side. That is until these cute dresses came in. Homecoming and wedding season are right around the corner and it's always kinda annoying when you find the perfect dress except for the 1 flaw. It's either long or short. If the dress is long you have more of a chance of getting it cut but then it's like you're paying double for a dress because of the extra cost. If it was just made short then you have to either settle for it or find another one. If you're like me though you'll be thinking about "the other perfect dress" and devising a scheme to either find it somewhere else or convincing mom to help you have it made. Windsor is listening to you and we've started bringing in different versions at different prices so that there are more options for Homecoming. I mean aside from the fact that the dress can either be too long or short there is also the $ factor. Its hard to find an affordable, yet perfect homecoming dress. So far here are just 2 options of the same dress: the short and long version of the animal print dress and the short and long version of the super cute one-shoulder homecoming dresses! Take your pick and happy shopping!

Punk Rock Homecoming Princess

Dances and parties this year are coming up way to soon for my taste. If it were up to me I'd still be longing by the pool with an ice cold drink in hand, oversized glasses and a bunch of magazines. Since stopping time isn't something I've mastered quite yet I decided to get to work on my party outfits. I mean I love school when homework, midterms and AP prep isn't getting in my way. Mostly because I get to buy a bunch of cute new stuff cuz summer maxis just won't cut it in the middle of a thunderstorm. Here is one of my first outfits that works for a party and Homecoming 2009. I love, love, love, the fuchsia color mixed with plaid on this dress. I can totally rock it at Homecoming and then casually show up with it at the after party. I mean let's face it. As much as I adore princess ball gowns; sometimes they can get in the way of, well, movement. This dress is cute but not too cutesy. The black bow is just the perfect touch. I added the leather bomber jacket (yes again!) because it works with everything and its not as prim as a shrug, shawl or bolero. If I wore those I'd totally kill my rocker chick vibe, no? Since the bomber is short it works really well with the dress because I can still show off the bow and the bubble hem. Plus this actually keeps me warm! I love clutches but too be honest I need more than lip gloss so I substituted it with a wallet with 2 compartments for my cash and ID and my gloss, mirror and house keys. I also added a ton of gunmetal bracelets and cute little black shoes that have a bow that matches the dress'. When I finished this look the Something Corporate song totally came to mind "If you could be my punk rock princess, I would be your garage band king."

Get the Look: Miley Cyrus at Teen Choice Awards 2009

Miley Cyrus looked so cute yet dangerous in her sequin mini at the Teen Choice awards. This look is perfect for going out to the club with friends. The fun should really be had with the accessories. It would be really hard to go over board (although it can be done) with the accessories. This look requires a ton of necklaces and bracelets to keep the rocker vibe. We did add a little leather bomber jacket to her look because the nights are starting to cool off. What do you think? Would you add anything to it?

Get the Look

Lauren Conrad always manages to look so chic and cute whenever she goes out. Her look screams effortless and easy. I love the fact that she mixes high end pieces with affordable items so that I can always manage to get her look without actually spending a lot. Take this Jay Godfrey dress for example. It retails for around $400. For that much I'd rather save a little longer and buy some Louboutins or a Chanel purse that I can wear over and over again. It's always smarter to spend less on cute and trendy items that I am only going to wear once. Although I love this new take on the LBD, to be quite honest fringe is something reserved for specific times. So here is what I'd put together to imitate her look without breaking the bank.
