Get the Chelsea Staub Look for Prom 2011!

When we saw Chelsea wearing this Romona Keveza dress we almost died! This dress is gorgeous no matter which angle you look at it. The black lace is chic, elegant and the shape of the dress makes it super fun! The original dress had a belt on it and it pockets. We decided that our prom version needed nothing more than the lace and the asymmetrical design. We kept the accessories simple in order to let the dress be the standout piece in this outfit. What can we say, we always think that Chelsea can do no wrong and what better proof than this gorgeous look.

What to Wear During the Holidays!

Wondering what to wear during the holidays? Don't fret! Here are jsut some ideas for two very different type of parties.
Our first outfit is comfy, cute and casual. It's definitely for that small family and friend dinner that doesn't require a whole lot of dressing up. But just because a dinner invite says casual it doesn't mean that you don't have to look cute. Our outfit will keep you warm and allow you to eat without making you look like you just rolled out of bed. We paired some deceptively stretchy skinny jeans with a flowy top with the loveliest back, a totally in-season faux leather bomber jacket and peep toe shooties along with some well placed accessories for a totally cute Christmas Eve outfit.
Jacket: $34.90 Top: $24.90 Jeans: $24.90 Shoes: $32.90 Earrings: $8.90 Bracelet: $12.90

If casual is not your thing well you're in luck because we have an outfit for you! There is nothing that I love more than a dress with pockets. This colorblock dress is simple yet elegant. It can be your statement piece on its own with that neckline! Add a warm trenchcoat, some satin peep toe pumps, a toally girlie clutch and pearl ring and you're set for a more formal party!

Coat: $44.90 Dress: $49.90 Shoes: $34.90 Clutch: $22.90 Ring: $10.90

Holiday Shopping: What to Get Your BFF

I LOVE the holidays. The smell of cookies and hot chocolate. It's a magical time that is enhanced by the twinkling lights and a sense of cheer that everyone shares. I'll just put this out there (as if you didn't know). Holiday shopping is hard. Plain and simple. Whether it's the long lines, the impossible parking or the inability to decide on the perfect gift. Holiday shopping can be quite stressful. Luckily, we're here to help!
One of the hardest people to shop for are our lifelong best friends.

We know them through and through so each year they seem to get harder and harder to shop for. I don't think it's because we don't know them. I think that the problem is probably that we know them too well. So well in fact, that we know exactly what they wouldn't like and why. If your bff is anything like mine; she's probably texting you telling you yet again that I better not be shopping for her. Of course, I take this as a joke (sorry Y.A.).
How can she really expect me not to shop for the person that has loaned me countless of clothes, always laughs at my 3 jokes (a mercy laugh is still a laugh) and always gets my "Devil Wears Prada" quotes and has the same obsession with all things Carrie and Edward.

If your bff is anything like mine she's into all things pretty and functional.
One of the things I know she loves is black and its ability to multitask. That's why I love this assortment for her! She can totally mix and match and accessorize as needed. The fact that she can layer a faux leather jacket, a chunky sweater or a light cardigan over the most perfect top is just her style. The ponte pants are the exact mix of comfort and chicness. Add a little bling to her fingers and her phone with a ring and iPhone case and she's set!
Just for fun I also added a little heart charm for her purse and some polish I know she's been dying for!

What to Wear Holiday Shopping!

Ok so I must say that this is my favorite time of the year! Surprisingly it's not because of the days off we get for the Holidays (although those are more than welcomed)

This is the time when we all get to go shopping at our fav stores for our fav people. Of course, being that Windsor employees work at a pretty great store, we do have it easier to find presents. We'll be doing a few gift guides to help you with your purchases but today I got to go shopping and I must say that wearing comfy clothes made all the difference with my attitude. If dressing comfortably (and cute in my humble opinion) can make up for the fact that I had to brave the mall and holiday traffic and the infamous parking dilemma today then so be it.

You have to make sure to dress comfortably and strategically. While taking these two things into account is important, looking cute is also a requirement. We are Windsor girls after all.
When braving the mall you're bound to see a few things you'd like for yourself so make sure to wear items that allow you to try things on without having to stand in a mile long line for a fitting room.

Today I dressed as simply as possible. Loose top, ponte pants, flats, light sweater that won't bog me down and alarmingly large bag (who wants to carry small little bags that dig in to yur wrist right?!?)

My accessories were decided on based a utilitarian need. The fact that I can tell time with a to-die for watch well that's just bonus. Add a polish in Windsor Purple and I had to say my day was a success before I even got to the mall. What do you think?

Top: $14.90 Pants:$34.90 Sweater: $29.90 Watch: $32.90 Shoes: $14.90 Bag: $29.90 Polish: $2.90 Necklace: $8.90

How do you dress for strategic mall maneuvering?

Nina Dobrev Inspired Look!

We have a confession to make. We are absolutely and unashamedly OBSESSED with The Vampire Diaries! Yes, we swoon over Damon and Stefan. We are anxious to see if Katherine will get her way or if love will truly overcome. Most of all, we tune in every week to see Nina Dobrev's girl-next-door slash vampire's love interest style!
We're sure that this is only the first of many posts to come so we'll keep this one simple. We love this very easy yet ah-dorable look that Nina Dobrev was sporting while out and about. You can never go wrong with an easy blazer and black skirt. Add a few strategic accessories (yes we are suggesting you add a necklace and a scarf!) and voila you're ready for a chic day of errands.

Style Crush: Annalynne McCord

Annalynne McCord popped up on everyone's radar after the first episode of 90210. We have to admit that style wise she rivals the uber chic Gossip Girls and Serena Van Der Woodsen would be shaking in her Choo's if Naomi Clark ever moved to the upper West Side. Until then let's enjoy some of Annalynne's best moments and see some of her wardrobe essentials.

Homecoming Trend Report

Well girls its that time of year again. Excuse us while we "Yay!"

Although going back to school is dreaded by most, we have to kinda get excited about the first big dance of the year, Homecoming 2010! Its the first big dance of the year and its a way to preview what Prom 2011 will be like.
We love any excuse to dress up in cute dresses! Windsor has some great dresses coming in and we are here to give you some ideas on what to wear to Fall's biggest dance event!

One of the biggest trends for Fall are jewel tones. Our faves are deep plum homecoming dresses and royal blue homecoming dresses. Here are our top 4 dresses:
Braxton $74.90                       Milly $79.90                       Wendy $79.90                           Betsy: $99.90

The next trend we're excited about is the one shoulder trend. We love the fact that you can show a little skin and still look classically chic. Just remember that when rockin' the one shoulder make sure to add cute accessories that don't clash with the shoulder strap.
Royal Blue Evening Dress $49.90       Rania-Print $89.90         Rania-Black $89.90      Emerald Green Evening Dress$46.90

Metallic colors are HUGE right now and Homecoming dresses are definitely loving this trend! Here are just a few samples of Windsor's interpretation.
Gisela $89.90            Silver Homecoming Dress $49.90      Silver Glitter Dress $39.90                 Berne $99.90

We love color at Windsor and there is no brighter and better color than red! Red homecoming dresses are definitely not for the faint of heart. Red dresses are for the girls that aren't afraid to stand out in a crowd.
Taylor $99.90                                       Columbia $89.90                               Tita $79.90

You can't have bright red dresses without mentioning one of THE biggest trends in dresses. Neutral, blush toned dresses. Windsor definitely has you covered when it comes to blush homecoming dresses. These are the girliest and cutest dresses in a while. Full of lace and ruffles that are super delicate and oh so lovely!

Brianna $89.90    Debby $89.90       Carrie $119.90        Champagne Cocktail Dress $69.90

The next trend is one that can be worn now and later! Glitzy and glittery dresses are dresses that can be worn for Homecoming and Holidays!

Black Glitter Dresses $39.90   Foil Cocktail Dresses $46.90  Teal Glitter Dresses $39.90

This last trend is one that we don't often see for Homecoming but these dresses are so spectacular that we couldn't leave them out. Floor length "wow" dresses are definitely for the Homecoming queen who wants all attention on her!
Ingrid $179.90                              Petula $189.90                   Vivianne $189.90

Trend Report: Cut Out LBDs

It doesn't matter where you looked this summer, bodycon dresses with cutout details were everywhere! These dresses are simple but they make a big statement. They don't need alot of embellishment to stand out. In fact if anything, these dresses probably have alot less materials on them than most cocktail dresses. These dresses allow the person wearing them be the center of attention. They give a small glimmer of skin without looking tawdry and still looking classy and chic. At the center of this trend is none other than Kim Kardashian!
Celeb Images courtesy of

Let's face it, love her or hate her (we LOVE her!) this girl has style and chic-ness down! She manages to look sexy and ladylike at the same time. That is no small feat. The main bodycon dresses are dresses with side cutouts, like Halle Berry's but there are some like Charlize Theron's dress, that focus on the back.

Celeb Images courtesy of

You will definitely be the center of attention whether you're just arriving to a party or leaving. The exposed zipper adds the finishing touch.

The last dress that we wanted to show for this trend is the the lbd with the cutouts that has black mesh covering them. These provide a more "demure" look because there really isn't any actual skin showing.

What to Wear to Homecoming 2010: Angelina Jolie Inspired Homecoming Look

I can't believe that Summer is over. As much as I am going to miss those lazy summer beach days, I have to admit that Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons. Here in California, the weather finally starts cooling, we get to go back to school and see friends we haven't seen in a while and the first big dance of the year happens! Homecoming is a pretty big deal in my eyes. It kinda sets the standard for the year dress wise and it also kicks off the year for everyone in school. Although, its probably not as important as prom 2011, Homecoming definitely comes VERY close to it. Homecoming dresses tend to be shorter but they have a little sparkle. Mostly I think its because its still a little warm out and also because this is also a dress that can be turned into a holiday dress.
Celebrity Images courtesy of

Our Homecoming 2010 look is inspired by none other than Angelina Jolie. Call us crazy but the girl definitely has style and grace. Here is a look for one of her recent premieres and we must say she looks ah-mazing! definitely has you covered in Homecoming dresses, Our look will definitely not break the bank. Our white homecoming dress is under $140 and the silver glitter shoes are under $10! Add a rhinestone bracelet, pearl earrings and silver homecoming clutch and you're good to go!

What's In My Bag: Accessories Buyer Edition

Not sure about you but I am slightly fascinated by YouTube's "What's in My Bag" videos. For us girls I think there's a type of validation that we get when we see that someone we look up to carries certain products. Windsor girls have some of the best things in their bags. Whether these be make-up, glitzy wallets or samples of things they are testing for customers; their bags are full of goodies.

In this post we are taking a peek at our accessory buyers' bag and we're sharing it with you so enjoy!

  • She always needs to carry a descent sized bag. When going out to see appointments she always needs to make sure that her bag is an asset and not a hindrance. She loves the versatility of this bag. You can carry it as a shoulder bag too!
  • She always has to have her zebra sequin make-up bag for quick touch ups. This bag is actually a vintage Windsor stocking stuffer. The Hello Kitty mirror screams Kandee Johnson.
  • Even though she always carries a make-up bag she always seems to have her MAC Lipglass, powder, her fav nail polish and her Vitamin Shtick roaming free in the bag
  • She always has to have a few accessories in her bag to spice up an outfit. We can vouch for her and her love of rings and necklaces! Can you spot the necklace, rose ring, the stretchy gem ring and snake ring in here?
  • She doesn't carry a wallet perse. She actually uses this glitter zip bag to carry her money, receipts and cards. Much easier to control her "mess"
  • NEVER be caught without your sunglasses. Her's are fabulous!
  • We adore her key ring (Windsor of course). She can always find her keys in her bag regardless of the size of the bag
  • She is always traveling for work so hand sanitizer, protein bar and Diamond shaped earbuds are a must.
  • Sneak Peak for something that is arriving in stores soon: i-Phone covers. Do you love it?!

What to Wear on the First Day of School

Let's face it back to school time is one of the most stressful times of the year. Going back to school can be very hectic. From school supplies and finding parking and not getting lost to finding new and old friends to hang out with. Not knowing what to wear should not be something that adds to your stress level. Here is a simple, comfy and cute outfit that will at least take one item of that massive to-do list. There is nothing better than a worn in pair of distressed jeans under $40 to start your school day off right. Our simple floral print chiffon top under $20 is perfect since the weather is still a little hot but just in case the A/C is a little too high we added a grey short sleeve cardigan that's under $25. As far as accessories we added a few bangles and a boho ring as well as a butterfly necklace to complete the look. We added our comfy boots and of course a school tote bag to get you up and running for this new 2010-2011 school year!

What to Wear to an End of Summer Party: Kim Kardashian Inspired

The end of August is always a bittersweet time of year for us. Its the beginning of great Fall looks, accessories, cooler weather and the beginning of great Holiday parties! Sadly we also bid adieu to those fabulous summer nights to return to our "normal"schedules. For most, this is a time when we celebrate the end of summer and say good-bye to some friends. Of course, this also means that there will be a few end of summer parties (yay!). We're taking our queue from Kim Kardashian to recreate this rock princess look . Its actually a very simple party outfit. She kept her accessories toned down and she let her evening cocktail dress do all the talking.
Celeb Image courtesy of

Windsor's take is a two-tone strapless dress that's under $50, gladiator booties, our simple snake ring and a stud patent wristlet. The entire look is under $100!

Get the Look: Teen Choice Awards 2010

Award shoes are always a must watch at Windsor because they serve as fantastic inspiration for all our formal Homecoming dresses. Here's our take on these fab girls!

One of our fav up and comers is Victoria Justice. The girl can sing, dance, and act. Oh yeah, did we mention that she has the comedic timing of Lucille Ball. She's not scared to look silly for craft and we adore her all the more for it. However, when it comes to awards shows the girl  certainly has style that is nothing to laugh at. Love the blue dress and the pop of leopard in her shoes.  Our take adds, a leopard clutch and a little glitzy shoe and ring to complete the look.

Our next fav is another up and comer who has stormed into the teen scene with THE must watch show of the summer, Pretty Little Liars--yes, we are officially obsessed with Aria's style (and of course Ezra is nothing to wince at). Lucy Hale is quirky yet chic. When trying to recreate her look we actually skipped the dress and went for a top, cute skirt (under $8! btw) added a little bracelet, cute belt and of course a shootie and voila!

Our last girls of the night added all the glamour to the award show. Let's face it, an award show isn't complete without a little sparkle and Keke Palmer and Nina Dobrev certainly brought that! Nina has a little pop of color and subtle rhinestone detail on her dress. Our white homecoming dress is a great match to Nina's dress; simple and classic with a little sparkle detail. Keke went all out with a sequin and rhinestone covered dress. We added a little twist by using our sequin covered homecoming dress under $50 as well as our rhinestone bangle and ring!

Back to School Essentials: Basics!

Denim is definitely its own category when it comes to back to school essentials but there are some basics that are a must if you are to survive another year of homework, midterms, papers, dances, homecoming and Prom!

When it comes to basics there is nothing more important than plain tee's. They can be dressed up or down. They are great layering pieces that come in an assortment of colors and at these prices they are an easy must have!

You definitely need a good jacket and blazer for these coming months. It's such a bummer that this summer was a little gloomier than we'd like but Fall is one of my favorite season's because you can add layers to any outfit to look more put together. A blazer over a tee will make you look like a million bucks. A vegan leather jacket over a girlie dress will instantly add a little rock and roll to your look.

Shoes are another Fall staple. My must have item is the "shootie" This basic ankle bootie can we worn with dresses, skirts, pants, and jeans. It really is one of the most versatile options in the Windsor closet. Another shoe to have is a basic black ballet flat. It's not only comfortable but it is also quite adorable.

Back-to-School Essentials: Denim Edition

The time for back to school can be a bummer since gone are the sunny beach-bound days. It’s a time to return to school but also a time to re-stock our closets! This alone can be the best part about returning back to lockers and cafeteria food. No matter your style Windsor has you covered with our list of back to school essentials

Distressed: This is an easy Summer to Fall transition because they are a summer staple that you can definitely wear through Fall. Just add a cute little lightweight sweater and some rockin' boots and you're set!

Skinny: These are a basic wardrobe staple because you can dress them up or down by switching the shoes and accessories. That way you can wear them to class during the day and you can be Friday night-date ready in a jiff.

Jeggings: Denim look with the comfort of leggings. Need we say more? These have to be our fav style in the office because you can look more pulled together than with leggings but you don't have to worry about these being to tight and uncomfortable like some ultra tight skinnies can be. Perfect look for back to school!

Bootcut: These are a wardrobe staple but for the Fall we prefer bootcut jeans to have a darker wash so that they can be worn day or night! Our rugby short sleeve sweater top is the perfect add on for the first cool days of Fall!

Classically Chic Jessica Simpson Outfit

When in doubt as to what to wear lately I have been reaching for my dear ol’ (well not so old lol) blazer. I just love how it can instantly transform any outfit! I always feel that a blazer and a few minimal, yet well placed accessories, can add an instant dash of polish. I used to be in LOVE with Jessica Simpson’s style during her Newlyweds days (sidenote: does anyone else secretly wish her and Nick would reconcile?) In the last few months I have to say I haven’t been too excited about her wardrobe choices. That is until I ran into this picture of her! Yes, this is more of a semi-casual Jess but  the jeans fit her perfectly, the accessories and the hair scream summer and that blazer completes her look perfectly!
I tried re-creating the outfit but I took out the graphic tee and replaced it with something a little more work friendly; hence the striped top.
What do you think is this look a hit or miss for you? Did Windsor hit the mark with this blazer look under $140?

          Blazer: $36.90          Top: $14.90                Denim: $29.90    Earrings : $8.90         Bracelets: $12.90        Bootie: $32.90
