Inspiration Wednesday: As If!

Via Pinterest

Before Mean Girl's became our all time fav girl movie ever. There was a blonde girl from a little town called Beverly Hills who rocked our world. I mean how many of you dreamed of Cher's rotating closet? That's why today's outfit is inspired by our fav fashion girl, Cher!

How many of you can quote Clueless?

Must Review Monday: Oscar's and Oscar's After Party 2012

Is it just me or did the Oscar's red carpet kinda underwhelm this year. Don't get me wrong, I think people looked great but there just wasn't anything that blew my mind away you know? To be perfectly honest with you, I enjoyed the looks from the after parties a little more than the red carpet BUT just like any good fashion store we feel obliged to pick our fav looks of the night. All in all (awkward leg pose and all) Angelina Jolie looked fantastic. I mean at this point she's actually kinda dull since she's not carrying around vials of blood. I kinda wished she'd do something crazier than Brad's hair...By the way, are you following her right leg on Twitter? Yeah how about that? Her right leg has more followers than us. Our question is, how does her left leg feel about not being quite as great as its counterpart hmm?

I'm not sure about the rosette detail on Stacy Keibler's dress but I love the fabric. Its definitely a hard color to pull off. Maybe I'm wrong but being the palest pale person in Cali I think this dress wouldn't look great on me but someone with her tan complexion looks like a little Oscar statue herself. Leslie Mann's dress is simple yet perfect. The beading is done perfectly and the cut is great on her. Cameron Diaz, in my opinion, looks best in color but this dress is so gorgeous and her hair is growing on me. I love the color on Maria Menounos dress and that cut is flattering on everyone. It also looks quite comfy. No worries about a nip slip or not being able to eat in that dress, no siree. I had to include Giuliana Rancic because we are all such huge fans of hers. The girl can do no wrong, ok she can but we turn a blind eye. In this case she did it all right thought. She certainly looked like a star on the red carpet don't you think?

Like I said I kinda prefer the after party looks. I know that Dita Von Teese's dress is a little low cut BUT I think the detail is gorgeous don't you? You guys know I am a HUGE fan of Revenge and I just had to include Emily VanCamp because she always looks so poised. I loved the length of the dress too. Sofia Vergara can bring the va va voom to any color and she shows that curvy girls can certainly rock the white dress. Cutouts are a huge trend and of course our fav girl, Nina Dobrev, knew to rock the trend (side note her best accessory of the night was Ian Somerhalder don't you agree lol). Selena Gomez looks like a Hollywood starlet and the detail on her dress is exquisite and Kate Bosworth's dress looks simple but the beading is so amazing and I love that she managed to wear a dress that touches on the sheer without going over the top.

Now you tell me who you think was the best dressed of the night and if we could recreate any of these dresses for prom or homecoming 2012 which dresses should we recreate? If you want to see more looks to pick your favs head on over to our Facebook page for all the highlights!

Three Way Thursday: The Peach Jacket

I have to admit that the weather that we've been having in California is my perfect weather. Its warm enough that you don't need to layer too much and it's cool enough that you need a cute coat. It's sunny during the day but the cool breeze always has me reaching for a little sweater or jacket. I love this jacket because it is light weight enough so that I won't boil and it is thick enough that it keeps out the cooler evening weather. The color is my favorite part though. It just screams Spring!

Here are 3 ways we wear this jacket.

1. The first look is fun and perfect for Spring. I particularly love the play on patterns between the animal print dress and the striped socks. So cute!

The second look also mixes patterns but is a little more casual while still being fun. I love the play on different shades of pink and coral and the print denim pants are perfect for Spring!

The last look is the most casual of the three and it shows you that you can totally mix blacks with a Super Spring-y color like peach.

Which look is your favorite?

Inspiration Wednesday: Puppy Love

Via Pinterest

Wiggle mispelling aside, the main reason that I wanted to use this image as an inspiration point for today's outfit is because it just brings a smile to my face. It is just SO cute!! I love it and I wanted to bring a little smile to your face along with some fashion, of course ;)

I love his little fur and just look at that face! Ok, ok, outfit time.

Must Listen Monday: The Wanted and One Direction

So I am a sucker for a boy band. Throw in some acoustic singing and oh dear watch out because I tend to put songs on repeat. All. Day. Long. I'm sure my coworkers are probably sick of these songs but I am not and now I am passing my addiction on to you. These bands and songs are not new by any means but they are currently playing the soundtrack to my day. Who do you like better? One Direction or The Wanted?

What bands or singer are currently playing the soundtrack to your life?

Three Way Thursday: The Perfect Spring Bag

When our buyers ran in with this bag they were beyond ecstatic about it. They actually ran in with a ton of other bagsthat were just as cute and you're going to love when they come in but this one was by far their favorite. When I saw it the first thing I thought about was Three Way Thursday so we got our stylists, model and photographer and we had an impromptu photo session outside our offices. I didn't even know these places were so close to us but our photographer has his ways lol.

Must Get Your Feedback Monday: Award Season!

At Windsor we look to the celebs for inspiration on upcoming trends. Award season is when we do our homework and see what trends you guys are loving and hating so we know what you're looking for. We've had three different award shows already and in preparation for Hollywood's prom aka the Oscar's we are going to recap our favorite looks. In the comments we want to know who you love and who you don't and if we could recreate any of these looks which should we do.

The Grammy's

What can we say about The Grammy's this year? Aside from the MTV awards, this award show is one where sophistication isn't elegance is required. People tend to get a little too risque for our taste (Fergie and Nikki Minaj we are talking to you). It's ok though people are supposed to have fun with fashion and well we can definitely say they did. Here are our favs trends of the night:

Sleeves and Embellishment:

Whether its long sleeves or cap sleeves, sleeves are coming back to evening wear. Not just that we are loving the over embellishment on dresses.

Dramatic Black:

There is no such thing as basic black. Whether adding a metallic look or sparkles black is the new black. You can never go wrong with it in our opinion. Adele is a given but here are our other standout dresses.

SAG Awards

There were quite a few starts that looked amazing but these 5 dresses really stood out for our buyers.

What do you think? Would you want to see any of these dresses in our stores?

My Picks:

While I love all of the dresses above there are a few other ones that I thought needed to be mentioned.

Golden Globes

Here are our buyer picks for the Golden Globes

And here are the honorable mentions. Kim K and Victoria Justice's looks are from the after party but I really thought their dresses were cute!

Now that you've seen our picks which looks are your favs? Which dress do you wish was in your closet?

Fab Fit Friday: Timing is Everything

Get Taralynn's Watch Here!

Timing is everything, especially when you are trying to stay on a healthy lifestyle. It's smart to always have a watch to glance down at now and then to remind yourself of priorities.
  • Always maintain a healthy bedtime to keep you energized, and to control your appetite.
  • Always eat within a hour after waking up to kick your metabolism into full speed.
  • Always eat little meals every two hours to prevent overeating.
  • Prevent caffeine or unhealthy snacks after 6pm to get a better sleep.
  • Work out at least Twenty minutes a day.
  • Wait fifteen minutes after a meal before deciding on seconds.
  • Time your meals around your schedule to prevent over eating later in the day.
There are tons of reasons why a watch is always great to have on hand and it doesn't hurt to make it a stylish one!!! (no pun intended :D)

Must Catch Up Monday: What Should Have Gone Up on Thursday

Did you ever have one of those weeks where you just can't seem to keep up and before you know it the week is over and while you're ecstatic that its the weekend you're left with a spinning head because you swear the week skipped a day? Well, that was me last week. I swear my brain completely bypassed Thursday and went straight to Friday. It wasn't that I wanted the weekend to get here that badly it was just that I swear there was more to do than there were days in the week. Before I knew it its 3am on Sunday and I am waking up because I realized that there was no Three Way Thursday!! Yep, call me a turkey because my brain is fried. So now here I leave you with my catch up post hoping to redeem myself with its cuteness. So here we go, which look is your fav?

  3. Stir in sugar and sweet-potato puree, then egg whites. In a small bowl, stir together vanilla into the cocoa mixture.

  6. Scoop 1 Tbsp sized balls and shape into footballs
  7. Use squeeze bottle to draw the lines with the pudding.
