Fab Fit Friday: Island Oasis Oatmeal

Island Oasis Oatmeal

I love oatmeal because you can give it a make over and change it up every time you eat it! It is also a great way to stay full.

Another great thing about oatmeal is that you can eat it anytime of the day! It's a perfect breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner!

For breakfast this morning I had a delicious tropical oatmeal blend! I never skip breakfast and I love making it a little different everyday.

1/2 Cup Quaker Oats
1/2 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt (I used Chobani)
1 Cup Water
A Couple Pineapple Chunks
1/2 Cup Frozen Mixed Berries (No Sugar Added)
1 Packet Truvia
2 Tbsp Unsweetened Almond Milk
In a microwave safe bowl add the oatmeal, truvia, and water. Microwave for 2 1/2 Minutes.
Add cold almond milk and stir.
Microwave berries on high for one minute.
Top the oatmeal with yogurt, berries and pineapple

Must Monday: Hi Summer, It's About Time!

Can you join me in getting excited about the fact that the weather is FINALLY starting to feel like Summer! Seriously I have no clue what was up with the weather but it certainly took it's sweet time deciding to switch to Summer. Didn't it seem like it was vacillating between Winter and Summer? The weather certain proves its female because every week it changed it's mind as to what it wanted to be. Ok I digress. The post today is full of Musts. They're all pretty random but hey what else is new? I am the queen of random and I certainly give the weather a run for its money with my dichotomous nature.

First you Must head out to the theaters because it's blockbuster season people! Have you caught The Avengers? If you have holy moley right?! Aaaaand if you haven't what are you waiting for?! I'm not a comic book buff but I loved it. My advice, watch it in IMAX. Seriously, three words: Chris. Evans. 3D.

Second, you must watch the prom collab looks from SparkliebarbieXO and Glamourista16! They both did such a good job and I love how they each made our pink feather Faris prom dress their own.

Last but not least, you must check out my favorite new arrivals! Yes, the skulls bracelets are here and I have to say I totally cheated on my vow to try and not shop as much and bought all three colors already. Seriously, can you blame me? They are so cute and if I divide the cost by the amount of times I'll be wearing them this Summer my cost per wear will be like a penny. Now that is what Charlie Sheen would call fashion winning.

What are your musts for this week? Tell me in the comments, maybe I'll borrow some for myself ;)

On Trend Tuesday: Maxi-mize your Style

Maxi maxi maxi skirts! My wardrobe is crying for maxi skirts. Its a must have really. You can dress it up, dress it down, mix and match, what CAN'T you do with these? My very favorite part about maxi skirts is that you don't even have to worry about your legs being shaved! haha just kidding guys. But seriously my favorite part is that they elongate your body, or at least make your body look slimmer. Not only that, but they are super breezy and comfortable. Anyways, don't take my word for it. I say you try wearing one and see what kinds of outfits you can create!

Fab Fit Friday: Healthy Dessert Cones

I made these little dessert cones the other night! They are adorable, tasty, and low calorie! I was surprised that these cones were only 15 calories. All you need is 1 pudding snack pack per cone, it doesn't matter what flavor you choose! I took The cones and dipped them into flavored Chobani yogurt and rolled them in toppings. I froze the cones so the yogurt would harden and the toppings would fall off before serving. When they were finally frozen I added the pudding inside! My favorite part was the bottom of the cone! Yum:)

Three Things Thursday: Here's to Moms!

Well friends it happened again. The week got away from us and the days are blurring together again. Seriously, where is the year going?!? How is it that it's May already. Before we knew we missed 2 posts! Can you believe it?

Okay enough of our excuses already. Let's get down to business. This week we are doing something different that was inspired by Emily's 5 Things posts on Cupcakes and Cashmere. Instead of using an item 3 ways, which will be back soon so don't panic, we are going to put the spotlight on three people, things, posts or whatever else our little hearts desire. This week we are focusing on Mom's. Shocking right?!?

Here's to the girls in our offices and stores that work 24/7 both here and at home:

I'm not a mom but I see how hard these girls work and I hear their stories and I seriously think they're like Super Woman or something because I have absolutely no idea how they manage to find the time to do everything they do. Just last week we had a mother's day shoot with two of our favs and they brought their kids in and some of us helped entertain them for just a few hours. I got home and crashed. Why is this such a shocker? Well because I am an insomniac who happens to have a horrible caffeine and red bull addiction. That day I had a venti coffee with an extra shot and 2 Red Bulls and I got home after work and I knocked out like I was on Nyquil or something. The girls got home to make dinner and play with their kids and reply to e-mails. We wish we could have had our photographer shoot everyone here who is a mom so you got to meet all of the fabulous mom's that work for Windsor but these two ladies are a great representation of our awesome team.

Here's to all our friends who are mom's who make us proud to know them:

This blog and this blog are little piece of fun, humor and reality. I happen to know Andrea since we went to high school together and I met Sydney after starting to work with her, gosh, over a year ago so forgive me for being a little biased when I say these girls rock! Seriously, how many of you have friends that you look at and think wow they're kinda awesome! I'm using them as a representation of all your friends who are mom's. I want to just say thank you to our friends who are moms for trying as hard as they do. See the thing is that I think sometimes we forget that as much as we want to hang out with our friends they also have much bigger things to fry (like say dinner for the kiddos) and as much as they may want to drop everything to just have fun sometimes they can't and you can't get upset about it. Now the reason I am using Andrea and Sydney here is because I look at their blogs and I am amazed at everything they do. Andrea's posts always make me think and laugh. Yep, she's that kind of awesome. She just did a post on the President's stance on Gay rights and she made me think of his stance in a whole different light. Seriously go read it here and tell her we sent you. Before that post she did a post on her little boy's birthday party. All I could think about after reading it  was how does she do it?!

Sydney, what can I say about Sydney other than she makes me wonder how she can manage to look so chic, be so funny and have one of the cutest little babies I've ever seen. Ah! That girl amazes me and again I say how does she do it?! Go and tell her we sent you and tell her hi and that she rocks! Trust us when we say that if you aren't addicted to her blog yet, you will be.

Last, but not least, here's to our mother's
Sadly, as much as I would want to, I can't add every single one of our mom's images here so just know that if we could we would. What can we say about our mom's that hasn't been said already. Thank you for waking up early every morning to get us to school, meetings, practice, the dentist. Thank you for always making sure we ate our veggies. Thank you for stopping whatever you were doing to take us to the store because we forgot that we had a food drive the next day for which we volunteered you to take dozens of soda bottles. Thank you for manning the booth at the Fiesta Fair for four years and not complaining that you have to be there at 5am until night time. Thank you for helping us find the perfect prom dress and getting it in spite of the price. Thank you for staying up with us until 3 am to finish the solar system project and waking us up at 7am with breakfast ready without a single complaint. Thank you for teaching us how to do laundry and not freaking out when we turned everything pink. Thank you for being cool about me blowing up the stove...twice.

I guess all we want to say is thank you for being the best mom's we could ask for. Seriously, go over to your mom right now and give her a hug and tell her thank you because she is the only one that will love you even when you are being a butt head and because we never say thank you enough and really they never even ask for it.

Every day we get calls from mom's at our offices and we are amazed at the lengths that moms will go to for their little girls to have the perfect dress for prom. Believe it or not hearing them on the phone makes us feel like we can't let them down and we try our hardest to help them find the perfect dress because they try their hardest. Really mom's are Super Hero's in our eyes.

On Trend Tuesday: Neon Brights

Neon colors are still on the radar. We have seen from neon undergarments to neon lipstick. The possibilities of neon anything are endless. It's like if the 80's decided to make a splash on 2012. I never thought neon colors would look so good on. How do you feel about this trend? Do you think it will last long?

Friday Fit Fry

Friday Fit Fry!

Thank goodness it's Friday! Here is the recipe I made for tonight dinner! It's a perfect light dinner made just for the nights I want to cuddle up on the couch after school/work and not move a finger! This recipe is perfect served over brown rice so make sure you have some on hand!

1 Cup Carrot Slices
1 Cup Diced Fresh Pineapple
1 Orange Bell Pepper
1 1/2 Green Bell Pepper
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
1 Orange Bell Pepper
3 Cups Medium Cooked Shrimp
1 Bunch Scallions
2 Jalapenos (optional)
1 Can Water Chestnuts
1/2 Cup Low Sodium Teriyaki Sauce
1 Cup Broccoli

Chop up all the ingredients except the shrimp they way you like yours cut and mix them together with Teriyaki sauce.

Add 1/4 Cup Teriyaki sauce to cooked shrimp and let marinate for fifteen minutes.

Grill marinated shrimp until lightly browned.

I cooked the jalapenos separate and added them to mine. Some people don't like the spice so just have these optional on the side.

Cook all the vegetables on high until they are sauteed. This takes about 10-15 minutes.

Once all the vegetables are cooked down, add shrimp and cook another 3 minutes on high.

Time to eat!

2 Cups is a serving size!

Inspiration Wednesday: Color Candy

Handbag // Bracelet // Scarf // Heels // Stud Earrings // Watch

We found this really cute picture of colorful donkey cookies that recreate a piñata. For those of you that do not know what piñatas are, i quote wiki-pedia: "piñata [piˈɲata] is a papier-mâché or other type of container that is decorated, filled with toys and/or candy, and then broken as part of a ceremony or celebration [in Mexican culture]."

Now imagine breaking a piñata and all of these sweet accessories coming out of it? That would be très sweet! Go find these on our website!

On Trend Tuesday: Orange Blazer

Many of us cannot help but to envy Kim K, but I could not help but to love this little outfit she is wearing. I personally dislike the color orange. I feel like it does not work with anything! But as we can see from Kim's ensemble, orange is DEFINITELY working here. Shes rockin' it! I pulled this little cute orange blazer that we have in stock, and I have to tell you guys, this blazer looks very adorable on! What can do see on Kim that is missing from the items? Any suggestions? Hope you love!
