Fab Fit Friday: A Berry Breakfast-Fruitastic Pancake

The phrase I always practice and preach , breakfast is the most important part of the day. It's also important to do breakfast right! Make sure your breakfast has fruit or veggies with protein and healthy whole grains. One of my favorite breakfast choices are pancakes, but only if they are done right. By right I mean healthy. Here is a recipe for a whole grain pancake packed with fruit and protein!

Thursday Thrills: IMATS 2012

Let me start off by saying that I am one lucky girl. My job allows me to meet so many awesome people and work on so many fun things! This month alone has been amazing! We got to go to Chicago to find ways to help make the Windsor site even better for our customers, we are also working on so many new awesome products for you its not even funny. Our buyers are totally killing it for Fall, not even joking. I am part of the team that is working on an awesome project with Sydney from The Daybook. I'm sure you know who I am talking about but if you don't make sure to go check her out here. Seriously love that girl and so wish we could keep her here but I have a feeling that Tyson and Ev may not be too thrilled with the idea but we're totally putting the wish for them to make an extended trip to Cali out in the universe because hey you never know right?
I, along with one of my co-workers, got to go to IMATS this past Saturday and I ran into some of our other favorite girls! Seriously it was great to run into them although I'm sure I was totally awkward. Call Me Maybe sprung to mind because seriously they just met in person which is crazy haha.

IMATS was insane. If you don't believe just head to YouTube and type in IMATS 2012 and you'll see tons of footage. We of course were there and had a blast! The talent we saw there blew our minds! We ran into one of our fav models there and we ran into one of our old models. You may recognize her from a little show called America's Next Top Model? Seriously now how adorable is Fo!

We had so much fun and I could go on and on but I won't. Instead I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Fab Fit Day: Chocolate Covered Strawberry Oatmeal!

Having a busy schedule makes remembering to eat breakfast crucial. It's hard to remember to eat breakfast when we have so many things going on, but working on a hungry stomach leads you to feeling irritable, forgetful, lightheaded, and fatigue. Lets be honest, who wants to work with someone like that? Certainly not me! I tend to overeat later in the day if I skip my breakfast which leads me to keep feeling irritable and fatigue. It's better to keep that healthy balance of meals. Your health is always more important than your busy schedule, so put yourself first and enjoy your breakfast! One of my favorite desserts is chocolate covered strawberries so I decided to take it to my oatmeal bowl. It's still very quick and tasty and can fit into any busy schedule! What's a few minutes?

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup Quaker Oats
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Strawberry Slices
  • 3 Chocolate Candy Melts Broken Into Pieces
  • 1 Tbsp Skim Milk
Directions:
  1. In a microwave safe bowl heat Quaker Oats and water for 2 minutes
  2. Add milk, strawberries, and chocolate.

Must Read Monday: The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines

Via Amazon $0.99

It's back! I know, I know I took a break from reviewing because truthfully I was a little burned out and I hadn't come across any books worth reviewing. Then I remembered that I never reviewed this book and I had to let you know about it! Just so you know I really like this author and I totally recommend anything she has written. Not only are her books totally affordable (I mean this one is under $1!) but the stories are pretty awesome. I actually reviewed one of her paranormal stories a little while ago and I will be reviewing the sequel to it soon. If you want a refresher here is my review for Existence.

What It's About:
I'll let Amazon tell you what it's about. It hooked me from the blurb and I'm guessing it'll do the same for you :)

Being the good girl isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Ashton Gray has grown weary of playing the part to please her parents, and to be worthy of the town’s prince charming, Sawyer Vincent. Maybe That’s why she’s found herself spending time with Sawyer’s cousin, Beau, while he’s away for the summer camping with his family. Beau is nothing like her perfect boyfriend. He’s the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, dangerous in ways she’s only day dreamed about, and the one guy she should stay away from.
Beau never envied Sawyer his loving parents, his big nice home, or his position as quarterback. He loves him like a brother. Which is why he's tried everything in his power to keep his distance from Sawyer’s girlfriend. Even if he has loved her since the age of five, Ashton is Sawyer’s girl, so therefore she’s off limits. But when Sawyer leaves for the summer, Ashton, the one girl Beau would move Heaven and Earth for, decides she wants to get into trouble. Stabbing the one person who’s always accepted him and stood by him in the back, is the cost of finally holding Ashton Gray in his arms. Is she worth losing his cousin over?.... Hell Yeah.

Why You Should Read It:
It's THE perfect Summer read! I love a good love story and a good love triangle. I also really like the message (yep there's a good message in this book disguised as chick lit). I don't think I am giving anything away by letting you know what the message is. That is, when in a relationship never lose who you are and always be true to who you are because you won't be happy and neither will your significant other.

Go and grab the book now! I promise you won't regret it. Come back and tell me your thoughts. Any books I should read next?
