We are proud to announce that Windsor participated in the 18th Annual Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County Race for the Cure®. The 5K Walk/Run took place Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Los Angeles Dodger Stadium. The purpose of this walk was to raise funds for breast cancer research, treatment and support programs. In the words of our very own President, Leon Zekaria:
"From this walk alone we raised a total of $34,000 to help fight breast cancer. In the coming months we have walks planned for cities including Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Phoenix, Tulsa, Jacksonville, and New York where we hope to raise more funds.
These funds will go for research, prevention and treatment for cancer patients. We did this walk for the benefit of others, but we also did it for us. Acts of charity are good for the soul and make us feel better about ourselves, because there is a joy that comes from giving and participating in such a good cause."We here at Windsor would like to thank everyone who donated and participated in the Race for the Cure®. We are all very excited to see how the upcoming walks will turn out. In addition, we definitely cannot wait to share these experiences with you!
