Well girls unless you've been off the internet and not heard us raving about this site then you are probably aware of a little addiction here in the Windsor office called Pinterest. To say that we have a problem is putting it mildly. Here are just a few reasons why we know we have a problem:

We consistently reference Pinterest in every day conversation.
Our browser automatically opens to Pinterest
When asked about our inspiration we ask "What didn't you check our board titled Photoshoot? It's all there"
Every pretty image we see is followed by "I'm SO pinning that to My Style Board"
We constantly crack ourselves up reading all the little sayings on our "hehehe" board. (Yep that's the real name for one of my personal pinboards.)
After pinning so many great recipes I am gaining the confidence to try and enter the kitchen again! I mean how many microwaves can I set on fire right? Pinterest makes it look so simple!
My shopping lists for my closet and my fridge are solely dictated by one of my pinboards. Thank goodness there's an app for Pinterest!

25 More Days Until Valentines Day! Are You Ready!?

Here is my recipe for Healthy Organic Salsa! This could be a perfect gift to bring to a Valentines day party! I took an old salsa jar and decorated it!

Ingredients to throw into food processor or blender:

2 Cups Diced Strawberries
2 Cups Diced Tomatoes
1 Banana Pepper Diced
3 Tablespoons White Balsamic Vinaigrette
1 Lime Squeezed
1 Small Jalapeno diced
1 Red Pepper
1 Small Onion
Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Tsp Garlic Salt

Put the heart and health into Valentines Day :)

Three Way Thursday: The Perfect Red Dress

We're back (finally)! I know we took longer than expected to start shooting again but we're back on track. We won't bore you with details and we'll get right into the post. We're trying a different look so tell us what you think. We're listening.

1. The first look is perfect for going out to after work cocktail/dinner. It's so chic and simple but the gold accessories make the color really pop. We replaced the bow belt that comes with the dress with a little gold skinny belt to bring the whole look together. It's dressy enough to go out but it's still something that you could have worn during the day.

2. The second look brings two of my favorite color combos. Sometimes black and red can make you look like a sunburned bumble bee but not in this case. I love the shoes in this outfit and the fact that the bows on them totally compliment the bow on the belt.

3. The third look is perfection for the office! I love the black and red and the hints of leopard in the accessories. In some cases red and leopard can equal death but in this case this combo equals chic-ness. Not even sure if that's a word but I'm making it one.

It is so cute and the color is perfect. It's not too pink and not too neon and it's the perfect shade of coral. You can wear it in the Spring and Summer and it will become a staple for years. You better believe that a Three Way Thursday post is in the works with this little gem. Now off I go to try it on. Again.

Fab Fit Friday: Are You Valentine Ready?

Valentines Day is my FAVORITE holiday. I used to plan out my Valentines Day cards during Christmas when I was in Elementary School. I refused to buy the boxes of Valentines. People always had the same ones! My mom always dressed me up in pink and helped me take a picture for my Valentines.

Valentines Day is in 32 days, it's time to get ready! Windsor and I will be posting healthy Valentine recipes and cute ideas to get you ready! It's all about the Fashion, Food, and of course the Love!

Serving 3 Granola Bites. Calories 80, Fat 2g, Fiber 4g, Carbs 19g, Protein 2g

HEART HEALTHY GRANOLA BITES

Ingredients:

1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup 7-grain cereal
1/2 cup oat bran
1 cup shredded unsweetened dried
1 1/2 cups almonds
2/3 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
4 Tbsp virgin coconut oil
1/2 tsp potassium salt
1/2 cup dried fruit (Apricots, Raisins, Craisins, etc.)
Jar of Marshmallow Puff
1/2 Cup Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9X13in Baking sheet with a TBSP of Coconut Oil
Chop Almonds into little pieces (Or you can buy the packaged chopped almonds)
Chop The dried fruit into little pieces, the size of a pea.
Stir Oats, 7-grain cereal, oat bran, almonds, and shredded dried coconut
Place the mixture on a large rimmed cookie sheet.
Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes or until lightly brown (Not burnt)
In a separate bowl combine, honey, coconut oil, vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt in a saucepan.
Turn the saucepan on medium low for about 8 minutes.
Turn the over to 300 after you take out the hard mixture
Add the cereal mixture to the mixture from the saucepan and stir to combine.
Add the chopped dried fruit and mix well.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Flatten out the granola with a spatula evenly
Bake for 25 minutes at 300 degrees.
Spread 1 Cup Marshmallow-Puff across the granola mix with a spatula
Take a pizza cutter and cut the granola into 1in X 1in Squares.
Sprinkle The Mini Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips evenly over the bars.

So were not done just quite yet!
You can't indulge in little granola bites without a delicious beverage.

Yup! It's Fat Free Nestle Hot Coco, and 4 servings of Fat Free Reddi Whip!

As you may very well know we have a huge style crush on Emma Stone. She can do absolutely no wrong in our eyes. Even when we think she may have faltered in the end we see that she always rocks what she's wearing even if it is a little more forward. That's why we love the girl, she knows how to take risks and not take herself to seriously. One of our fav looks was from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. We loved it so much that we begged our buyer to please recreate the dress for us. Thank fully we work with amazing buyers and she was able to pull of a great lookalike under $100!!

Must Read Monday: Existence by Abbi Glines

What It's About:

Brace yourselves it's another paranormal young adult book. I know what you're thinking. Gahhhh another one?! Really? Well, my friends blame Amazon. I keep searching for books that have a different subject matter but I am in a book rut...again. I was feeling kinda blah when I stumbled across this book. I had actually downloaded this book some time ago but just barely got around to reading it. For some reason I kept skipping it. I'm so glad that I finally made myself read this book because I was actually very pleasantly surprised. The story is about Pagan, a girl who just happens to see dead people. She is kinda just coasting along life until she gets into a car accident and death (yeah like the guy with the scythe--death) rescues her. Then he kinda starts following her around. Mind you she has a boyfriend who absolutely adores her but she can't stop thinking about Dank or the spirits that keep following her telling her it's her time.

Why You Should Read It:

Names aside (really Dank, Pagan???) this story is actually really well written and it's a fun read. I know that it seems like a predictable read but I promise the ending makes it SO worth it. I didn't expect that ending to happen and I am excited for the sequel. I mean with an ending like the one it had it can't not have a sequel. I loved the interaction between Pagan a Dank and I loved the relationship she had with Leif. All in all this book was a fun read and I totally recommend it. Let me know if you pick it up and if there are any books I should pick up next.

Three Way Thursday: Handbag Edition

Spring is coming! Ok well maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself but I ge excited when I get to see new styles come out. Working at the Windsor corporate offices let's me sneak a peak at the new items coming in and let me tell you that it's brutal waiting for some of the things to come in. When I first saw these three bag samples I knew I had to have them. I think these three bags are different enought to have you covered for what's left of Winter and into Spring.

Skull Handbag $34.90

The first bag might be my favorite. I love the tiered effect and the tassels. It's perfect for going out and tossing a few things in without having to carry too many things. I love the fact that it's a cross body bag too so don't have to carry it as a shoulder bag.

Satchel: $36.90

This bag is a little bigger but it still ahs some edge thanks to the stud detail. I love that it's roomy enough to carry out shopping without being bulky. Plus I love the whole doctor satchel shape.

Satchel: $32.90

This last bag is perfect for work. I tend to be a pack rat when it comes to work and I carry a moleskin notebook, my planner, 2 phones (yes 2 phones!), my make-up bag, my wallet and little receipt bag, my kindle, pens, pencils, highlighters, my iPod, and goodness know's what else. This bag carries it all without making me look like I carry my life in my purse. Plus I don't have to worry about anything falling out and the neutral color goes with everything!

Must Read Monday:Top 6 Books of The Year

So for the most part I reviewed about a book a week. I read eerily fast so there were quite a few duds out there that I didn't even bother to review for you because I didn't want you to waste your money on them. I prefer to tell you about the books that I think are worth your time. This year I got my Kindle so I was able to enjoy alot of self-published books that I wouldn't have even known about. I was actually surprised when it came to picking my favorite book of the year because I wasn't able to pick just one so I here I leave you with my 6 top picks of the year (yes 6 is a random number but I warned you that I couldn't decide!). In no particular order and yes I cheated by tossing in a series or two. :

1. The Summer Series by Jenny Han:

Ok so I was late to the game on this series because I just picked it up this year and I can't believe I hadn't noticed this series before. It is a tear jerker for sure. I loved Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah. I loved the message in the stories and I loved the growth that the characters had. Their journey wasn't crazy and there weren't any werewolves or vampires but I think the love triangle between the main characters was necessary, not to keep me interested, but to show me how people can grow and how what they think they want isn't necessarily the right thing. It isn't what they

2. Where She Went by Gayle Forman:

Another tear jerker for sure. This book set the bar for what I look for in books. What can I say about this book. I was a hot mess when I finished reading If I Stay and this book, ugh, it just poked my heart. Part of me wanted to kick Adam and the other part totally understood why he was the way he was. For a few chapters I really and I mean really hated Mia for putting Adam through all that pain but I got it in the end. Again this book is so good and I can't recommend it enough.

3. Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson:

I just realized that two of my favorite books had music as a main character in the story. Yes, music can be a character. Where She Went and Amy & Roger both utilized music to show the journey, both metaphorically and literally, that the characters went through. I can't believe that this book was Morgan Matson's first book. I loved that the story was focused not on the relationship between Amy & Roger but on how the road trip was helping them discover who they are and where they want to be.

4. The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare:

Ah! Cassandra you are killing me! Argh! I hate and love and hate this series. Ok, dramatics over but if you are reading, have read or will read this series you know the feeling I am talking about! I have read all of the books that have come out and man can that lady leave you on a cliffhanger and the problem is that it takes almost a year for the next book. I mean if you read City of Fallen Angels then you know my frustration with this. It's bodes well for a reader that an author can get this much of a reaction from me but why does the enxt book have to take so long to come out. Book 6 comes out in May but the last book doesn't come out until 2013. Part of me wants it to come out faster but the other part of me gets sad when a series ends

5. The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins:

You guys totally knew that this series was going to be on this list. It's not like I haven't raved about it enough right? This series is beyond ah-mazing and I loved the way it ended but part of me is sad that there won't be any more Peeta and Katniss stories. I loved that these books had a great message, a love story, adventure and suspense. I can't write enough to let you know how good these books are and I am just crossing my fingers that the movies do these books justice.

6. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire:

Oh. My. God. This book legit blew my mind. I cannot rave enough about it. I would love to tell you that I would have gladly paid more than $1 for this book but the truth is that I picked up this book by accident when I was going through a reading rut. I know right!?! How can picking this book up be an accident?! I thank my lucky stars for that accident because I hold this author solely responsible for getting me out of that rut. I have read this book a few times already. Yes, it is THAT good. Again, this book doesn't have any supernatural stories. There are no sprakly vampires or alpha wolves but it does have Travis Maddox. If you have read this book you know what I mean and if you haven't what the heck are you waiting for?!? Go right now and get it. The book went up to $2.99 but I promise you that is the best $3 bucks you will ever spend. I cannot rave about this book enough. Jamie McGuire I don't know how you do it but keep writing because if this book is one of your first forays into the literary world then I can't wait to see what you have in store for us. I just picked up her other two books so I will definitely be reviewing those as well in the upcoming weeks. Fab Fit Friday Fajitas

Have the girls over for movie night or just don't know what to cook that is delicious AND healthy!? Try these healthy fajitas! You wont even know the difference. You will be able to keep that waistline and eat yummy! You can also use the left overs for some awesome meals the next day!

Ingredients:

Four 100 Calorie 100% Whole Grain Tortillas
Original Cooking Spray
Packet of Low Sodium Fajita Seasoning Packet
24 Oz Cooked Shrimp
1 Large Green, 1 Yellow, 1 Orange, 1 Red Bell Peppers
1 Medium Onion
3 Cups Chopped Broccoli
4 Slices Reduced Fat Pepper Jack Cheese

Directions:

Cut up Onion, Broccoli, and peppers and add them to a skillet on Medium high. (Make sure pan is greased with Spray)
Add Packet of Low Sodium Fajita Seasoning
Cook for 6 minutes , then add in Shrimp and Stir frequently
Cook until the shrimp is glazed and brown
Add slices of pepper jack cheese and mix until melted.
Split the fajita filling onto four tortillas
Roll fajitas into burrito forms and lay them on the skillet to brown! I served with brown rice!

The next day take the left overs and cut it all up into a fajita stir fry and sprinkle a little rice on top!

The end of the year is almost here and while most people celebrate it I fight it....With everything I've got. I am so beyond not ready for the new year it's not even funny. I mean just today I headed out to Target to get some wrapping paper for our office gift exchange (hence the late post today) and I literally lost it when I saw Valentine's Day decorations on sale. What the what?!? Seriously, I haven't even pretended to wrap my presents yet and Cupid has already kicked Santa out of the way! What is that about?!

I love change and I tend to go with the flow but I don't like to be rushed. When rushed I tend to plant my feet and refuse to let change happen so of course today's Inspiration Wednesday doesn't look to the future or even to the present. Nope I'm going back a decade or two to the original gaming system. Yep. In case you don't recognize it that is the predecessor to the Xbox, PlayStation and online gaming--Nintendo!

The colors are perfect for December and since I think Christmas needs to be celebrated in December for the whole month, today's outfit is perfect for any holiday parties you have coming up.

Fab Fit Friday: Windsor Wonderland Coconut Truffles

Windsor Wonderland Frozen Coconut Truffles

45 calories 3g Protein 15g Carbs 3g Fat
Serving Size 1 Coconut Truffle

Ingredients:

1 Sixteen Ounce bag of unsweetened shredded coconut
1/3 Cup Stevia
4 Drops Sky Blue Food Coloring
1/3 Cup Almond Breeze Unsweetened
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
2 Servings Fat Free Sugar Free Vanilla Instant Pudding made with Almond Breeze
Instant Pudding FF/SF White Chocolate

How To:

In a Mixer blend together coconut, stevia, food coloring, vanilla extract, Vanilla pudding. If mixture is to soupy add more coconut.
Let the mixture chill for 30 minutes in the cooler
Roll 1 Tbsp Balls of the coconut and dip into the White Chocolate Pudding
Set on freezer rack for 2 hours.

First, please let me apologize for these late posts. We are gearing up for prom at work and working on a ton of really fun things for you (think MAY-JAH giveaways and pretty dresses!) and well the days have gotten away from us. We should be back to our regularly scheduled posting soon; at least I hope so.

Anywho, I have been dreaming about this view and aching to head up to Bear Mountain to get some runs in. In my opinion the season ends way too soon but what can you do. Mind you, I love snowboarding but whether I am any good is up in the air. I call it victory if I go a full day without a faceplant. I guess we all can't be The Flying Tomato but it sure is fun trying to be lol. Since I can't head out to the snow I am going to bring the snow to me. I used the colors off this amazing picture from weheartit.com and they're perfect.

They're not stark white and they're perfect for Winter. Now be aware that this is SO not what I would wear to go snowboarding, well maybe what I would drive up in and have my hot cocoa in since these jeans are beyond comfy. The heels may have to go but at least I can wear them here.

Must Read Monday: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

You guys know I'm a sucker for a good dystopian story right? Well I think I found my new series! I had heard about this book coming out and that it was a great book for those of us that loved the Hunger Games. At first I was like yeah right puh-lease. Every new series is the new Hunger Games. As you can tell I was actually thinking that this book wouldn't live up to the hype and that I would be disappointed because it wasn't the Hunger Games and yet it was being marketed to those readers. Man oh man was I wrong because I loved this book!

What It's About:

As I already mentioned this book is a dystopian story that is based around Juliette. Here is the summary that was listed on Goodreads:

Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Why You Should Read It:
I know you guys are probably sick and tired of me saying "because it's so good!" but it is! More than anything I love that this series is a little different than anything I've read lately. Yes, I know I just read a book last week about a guy whose touch kills but this book is different, I promise. Whereas Touch is about a guy whose touch kills, the book is set in present day and the whole premise is that the sixes are people who were born with this ability and then capture for exploitation. In Shatter Me, Juliette is unique and no one has any idea why she is the way she is. The book is beautifully written and it almost reads like poetry. I absolutely love Adam and everything he has done to be with Juliette. I think the part that I loved the most about this book is that it broke my heart in a good way. Authors have a magnificent way of letting words make us feel and Tahereh is not an exception. I highly recommend this book if only for how beautifully she expressed Juliette's grief and fear and hope.

Fab Friday Fun: Fit Friday Forgets

TGIF, doesn't always apply when you are SUPER busy. Saturdays can be just as hectic as Mondays, and this definitely applied for me yesterday!

Fridays are my favorite days to get a great work out in before the weekend, because most likely my weekends will be spent relaxing on the couch!

Yesterday I spent the entire day baking, cleaning, shopping, crafting, ect. I had absolutely no time to work out! After I sat down on the couch around 11pm I felt more exhausted than after an intense workout. So I did a little research, I realized that my 7 hours of baking, 2 hours of shopping, 2 hours of crafting, and 4 hours of cleaning burnt around 1300 calories according to healthstatus.com. Just because you aren't "working out" doesn't mean you aren't burning those calories! The days you are super busy don't feel bad if you can't fit in a work out, because most likely you have worked off more than a usual trip to the gym! If you continue to eat healthy and stay active you will be in great shape! Mentally and Physically!

While I was baking I made sure that I had a very healthy breakfast to prevent me from eating scraps of cookie dough and other food. I also kept a bowl of healthy snacks by me at all times, If I felt the urge to eat then I grabbed the bowl of snack sand ate anything I wanted. In my snack bowl I had blueberries, an apple, almonds, dates, a fig, and Kiwi.

For the Winter Wonderland Party we are having tonight there will be many people! The desert table is full of temptations and that is why I have to keep healthy snacks around at all times. Today we are working on the party food : Mac and Cheese, Little Smokies, and Tossed Salad.....Can you guess which one I am indulging in :)

I have a love/hate relationship with books that are part of a series. While part of me gets excited because there will be more to a story than what I am currently reading the other part gets a little antsy waiting for the next book in the series. Ask anyone that knows me, patience is SO not one of my virtues and to have to wait for a sequel in anything is torture. So you might be asking yourself why I would pick up a book with "#1" as part of the title. For crying out loud it tells you right in the title that there will be sequels. Well, here is the synopsis. I didn't think I could do it justice so here you go- straight from Amazon:

Why You Should Read It:

It's really good! This is a story about adventure, mystery and crime. Yes, there is a love story thrown in just like in most Young Adult books but that is secondary to the mystery of the Sixes. Can you imagine a life where you can't touch or be touched. I mean think of all the little things that we take for granted like hugs or handshakes or even a high-five. The story is amazing and while some of the twists you can kinda see coming at first, I am still interested in seeing how the author develops the story further as the sequels come out. All in all this a great and easy read that I think you'll enjoy. Are you planning on reading this book? Any other recommendations?

Fab Fit Friday: Go Big or Go Hungry

Sorry for the lack of post last week everyone! Thanksgiving shopping wore us out! Without further ado here we go!

Sitting at the lunch table with my barbie lunch box was the ultimate in elementary school, opening a secret note from mom was always a plus too. Middle school was a little different, I switched to the brown paper sack, and was a little embarrassed with moms secret notes. During high school I was too lazy to pack a lunch, my mom thought I was too grown up to have her make my lunches, so I settled with bringing a few dollars for hot lunch.

Now a days I like to bring the large purse with my lunch and snacks inside! One thing I never forget is my purse, so if my lunch is inside , there is no way of going hungry and being left with unhealthy choices. (take out, vending machines, staff pizza)

You want to make sure to have a purse that can hold all your personal belongings and your food without over flowing! It needs to be able to shut easily, if not you will have some smashed food! YUCK! Also a cute purse looks better than a crumbled up paper sack!

I always put my snacks and lunch in little plastic baggies. Sometimes its easier to label which is which and the times to help your hunger stay under control. For the morning snack I have fresh pineapple, Grapes, and Kiwi. For Lunch I have a Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich, Baby Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes, Pepper Jack Cheese, and Snapped Peas.

After school or after work, I am so hungry from the exhaustion of the day I go home and just raid the kitchen sometimes. In order to get the raid urge under control I have a afternoon snack I usually eat on the way home. That way when I enter the house, there is no need to go into the kitchen before dinner. I like to eat a carb snack that way I can have energy to either work out or do something fun before dinner. If taking the time to put all your food in plastic bags is hard to fit in, do it the night before. Inside the bag "Hunger Killers" is raw mixed nuts, and dried fruit. This is my go to emergency snack. If I'm so hungry Ill take a handful from this bag and munch, this is much more healthier than munching on candy, or pastries.

Take the time to be healthy and your body will appreciate it!

Must Read Monday: Dream Chaser by Angie Stanton

What It's About:
I can't even tell you how I ended up with this book on my Kindle but I'm glad that I had it because it was a really fun read. Dream Chaser by Angie Stanton centers around Willow Thomas, a competitive cheerleader who ends up quitting cheer after a nasty fall. In order to avoid her squad convincing her to go back she ends up joining the bog school play that is coming up. Willow used to dance and she's really good. Sure she needs a little help with her singing but that's not the worst of her problems. It turns out that the lead male role is played by her ex-bff Eli McAvoy, whom she abandoned without reason (at least that's what he thinks) 3 years ago.
Aside from that Willow is in for quite a time since her old squad hates her, the actors resent her and are icing her out and oh yeah who knew she still had feelings for Eli.

Why You Should Read It:
Willow goes through alot of things that I think most high school students have to deal with; falling outs with friends, guy issues, and confidence issues. This book has a good message about how to deal with these problems. Mainly, it tells you that you shouldn't run from your problems and fears because they don't go away. If anything, avoiding problems makes them seem bigger. I feel like Young Adult authors are tackling more realistic issues lately and that's amazing. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for supernatural stories with love triangles but every once in a while its refreshing to read about characters that seem relateable. It's nice to read about realistic issues and feel like maybe your problems are fixable and you CAN move forward and succeed. Bonus, the book is only 2.99 on the Kindle! What more could you ask for?

Organizing Your Grocery Guide

Every week I like to make a grocery list, that way I don't find myself constantly running to the grocery store. Here are Ten easy ways to organize your grocery list for the week!

Use several colors to categorize.
On one side create a daily menu.
On the other side write down the ingredients you need for those recipes.
Make note of leftovers, so you don't over purchase items.
After you create your grocery list browse the internet for coupons.
Make circles or boxes to check off when you are shopping
Try to categorize your items by aisles to make it much easier to shop. I used colors to categorize mine, sometimes I use sections.
Make your grocery list in the kitchen, that way you know what you have already.
Don't make your grocery list on an empty stomach!
Don't grocery shop on an empty stomach!

Creating your own meals helps you know exactly what you are eating and allows you to make healthier choices. It also save es you so much more in the long run, because fast food and eating out at restaurants can rob your bank!

Must Read Monday: Pride and Popularity by Jenni James

Well I guess my reading rut is over because I found a really fun book to take me out of that funk. I was actually looking for the Keira Knightley version of the Pride and Prejudice movie because my copy has suddenly disappeared (two sisters only one is in the country hmmmm wonder who might have it lol). As I was browsing this book came up in the search results. I love Jane Austen books and when I read the description I thought sure why not give it a shot.

What It's About:
Pride and Popularity by Jenni James is, as you can obviously tell, a remake of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. While many remakes of Austen classics have been flops, I was pleasantly surprised by Mrs. James book. The story centers around Chloe Elizabeth Hart and Taylor Darcy Anderson. Chloe moves to town and realizes that every single girl in her school is infatuated with Mr. Popular, Taylor. She refuses to be part of his fan club and this of course makes her all the more noticeable to Taylor. The main thing about the story is that appearances can be deceiving.

Why You Should Read It:
Most of you know the story of Pride and Prejudice so there aren't many surprises to the plot but I think Jenni James did an amazing job of updating the story and making it more relatable. She threw in some Facebook drama and of course the love complications. The cool thing is she did this without becoming overly cheesy and she managed to keep her characters real.
I'm actually pretty excited about this author. She is remaking a few of the Jane Austen classics and giving them a modern twist. She has Northanger Alibi coming out soon and she actually weaves in Edward Cullen. Can't wait for that one!

140 Calories! 12g Protein! 25g Fiber! 16g Carbs! 3.5g Fat!

You Will Need:

1 Cup Multi-Grain Extra Fiber oatmeal
1 Serving Benefiber Drink Mix
2 Cups Fiber one Original Cereal
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp baking soda
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar (You can use Stevia as replacement)
1 Cup Shredded Carrots
1 Cup Chopped Apple
4 Egg Whites
1/2 Cup Almond Breeze Milk Unsweetened
1/4 Cup unsweetened applesauce
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/4 Tsp nutmeg
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1/8 Teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup raisins
Vanilla Greek Yogurt
Wilton Edible Glitter

Directions

Chop Apples and Finely Chop Carrots.
Preheat Oven to 400 Degrees
Mix the Dry Ingredients in a Large Bowl
Add apple, carrot and other wet ingredients to the Large Bowl of Dry Ingredients
Mix Well! Batter will be quite thick.
Use Muffin Cups
Spoon batter into cups 3/4ths full
Bake until Golden Brown about 20-22 minutes.
Frost the Muffins with Vanilla Greek Yogurt 1/4 Cup for each
Add Edible Glitter on top.

Three Way Thursday: The Printed Dress

When this Missoni-esque dress came into the office some people wondered how many ways they could wear it. I asked three different people to style it how they would wear it and this is what they came up with.

The first look was styled by our accesories' buyers and she actually decided to make the dress a cowl neck since the weather is a little nippy at the moment.

Must Watch Monday (technically Sunday if you don't Hulu it lol): Once Upon a Time

I have been in a reading rut. I've been searching for a good book for you guys but it seems like all the good books are waiting for the holiday season to get here to come out. Queue the tv. I try to avoid watching too much tv because it can be so easy to just get stuck in front of it. As it is I already have a few shows that I have to watch during the week. You already know I am obsessed with Revenge and The Ringer and Covert Affairs is coming back soon. Add Once Upon a Time and that's four hours of tv. My only saving grace is that those hours aren't consecutive.

What It's About:
Once Upon a Time is a show that flip flops between a story world and the "real world." The story centers around Snow White, her Prince, the Evil Witch and Snow White's daughter. The Evil Queen casts a spell to take all of the fairy tale characters from the story world to the most horrible world they can imagine; our world. The kicker is that no one knows that they're really a fairy tale character except for Henry, Snow White's grandson.

Why You Should Watch It:
Ginnifer Goodwin and and Jennifer Morrison are superb! I'm a huge fan of Ginnifer and she does not disappoint. I love the idea behind the show and it's not something that I've seen lately. I know there are a ton of shows out there that deal with the super natural but none that deal with fairy tales. The story is original and although there have only been two episodes so far I have high hopes for it. Only time will tell. I was on the fence about the show but then it had a part where "Emma" asks Snow White why she gave the little boy the fairy tale book and she says that fairy tales teach you to always have hope for a happy ending in spite of the obstacles. I think a show that makes this message the main focus has a lot of potential for greatness. We'll see. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Life. I don't even know how else to describe it. The magazine is a little hodgepodge of things. It talks about fashion, cooking and does fantastic interviews. The spreads are amazing! Just take a look at this spread from their current issue!

Why You Should Read It:

Aside from the fact that it's free? Well, the spreads are amazing. Seriously this online magazine is a favorite of mine when looking for inspiration. I love the fact that all the items in the issue are clickable and are available at the touch of a mouse. It's just full of such a variety of well written articles and I seriously read every one. After watching the documentary "Food Inc." I am going to be very cautious of where my food comes from. Make sure you foods are safe before you consume them. Reading labels and knowing the history of the companies keeps you ahead of the game. Organic foods are the safest but sometimes it's not always available. Keep yourself safe and aware of what you are eating.

Always wash your fruits and vegetables.

Make sure your meat is ALWAYS fully cooked.

Must Read Monday: There You'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones

You guys know I love to read right? Well here's a little something about me that I am not proud of; I absolutely abhor reading any sad books. Yes, I do read books with difficult subject matter but it takes me a while to get to them. You know that episode in Friends where Joey puts Little Women in the freezer because he knows that Beth isn't going to make it? Well if I could I would totally put my Kindle in the freezer with some of these books. I have had Before I Die by Jenny Downham in my pending pile for weeks. I know it's a great book but I just can't bring myself to read it just yet.
The thing is that these type of books are usually the ones that are the best type of books to read because they get you thinking. Yes I love chick lit but I as much as I detest being a snotty mess I love finishing a book and feeling like I get what the author was trying to say.
This is the case with There You'll Find me by Jenny B. Jones.

What It's About:
Finley Sinclair has signed up to go to Ireland as a foreign exchange student after a very difficult year. She lost her brother in a horrible tragedy and this led to her downward spiral into hard partying. She comes from a family that is well off so her antic were highly publicized. She travels to Ireland to recreate her brothers own journey so that she can find some answers and an old cross which she feels will help her finish a composition she did for her brother and which she will use for an audition.
While on the plane she ends up sitting next to the latest teen movie heartthrob but, of course, she is unimpressed and he is smitten. The story is one of her Finley's journey, not just to find her brother's cross but also a journey of rediscovering who she is without him and a journey to finding something bigger than herself.

Why You Should Read It:
Again, there are some types of books that I avoid. I am not particularly fond of preachy books that tell me how I should think about a specific subject. This book does a spectacular job of talking about God without preaching religion. Finley doesn't feel like God is listening because of everything she has done. This journey is her road to discovering that she really isn't alone and she isn't as bad a person as she thinks she is.
Finley definitely has alot of issues that stem from the loss of her brother and she definitely feels like God abandoned her. The thing about this book is that this isn't a book about finding religion or God. Yes, it talks about God but really this book is about Finley finding herself after she has lost herself in the midst of tragedy. It's a book about rebuilding your life in spite of the hardships that life has handed out. You can't find fault with a book that talks about hope for the future and talks about finding strength within oneself to grow and evolve into a better and stronger person.

I really hope you'll read this book because it has such a positive message. Be prepared to laugh and most definitely cry.

Fab Fit Friday: Pumpcake Patches

The most exciting thing about fall is pumpkins! (and pie)

It's time to take advantage of the fall weather before the winter blows in!

There are so many fall activities, but my favorite is the pumpkin patch!

It's so easy to just stop at a local grocery store, pick a pumpkin and take it home, but what's the fun in that?!

Try to find a local farm with a pumpkin patch! Not only are the pumpkins in better condition it helps out your local farmers!

My boyfriend and I took a long walk through a pumpkin patch in a competition to see who could find the perfect pumpkin ( I won obviously haha) Walking through the pumpkin patch is a creative way to work in fun and exercise. It's also a perfect date idea!

We found several pumpkins, ones for painting and ones for carving when Halloween gets closer.

I painted my pumpkin into a cupcake! Added Sparkles and Sticky Rhinestones.

I can't wait to start carving next weekend! Don't forget to save and dry out those pumpkin seeds for my healthy pumpkin seed recipe.

Three Way Thursday: The Beige Poncho

Half of the time when I pick the Three Way Thursday item it is because I think the item is cute and the other half of the time I pick it because I think it's cute but I wonder how to wear it more than one way. The latter applies to this poncho. Luckily for me S and I totally handled this challenge like the pros that they are.

The first look is sweet and girlie and I love the lady bag! This outfit is a two for one deal because the skirt is actually a dress!

Must Watch Monday (technically Wednesday): Revenge

As you know I am a sucker for a good plot. Obviously you know I love a good mystery thanks to my review of Ringer. Well brace yourselves for yet another dra-mystery (yes I am aware that I made that word up) that I think you should all be watching. Revenge is so good and I can't wait until the next episode!

What It's About:
Emily Thorne aka Amanda has come back to the Hamptons to (gasp!) get revenge on the people that participated in the demise of her dad. There are so many people who used her dad as a scapegoat for a crime he obviously didn't commit. This of course ended up with her going to a juvenile detention center and her father going to jail and passing away. Nolan comes to her aid when she turns 18 and tells her that her dad left her pretty loaded. Along with this message she also learns that the didn't commit the crimes he was accused of. What's a girl to do but get revenge right?

Why You Should Watch It:
It's SO good. Ok, ok I know that I say that about everything I review on Monday's but I mean it! The show is so good and I love a show that has awesome clothes. I love the clean, preppy look the actors have and the location is amazing! I love a good mystery and this show definitely has that. I know the plot is out in the open but I still feel like this show is one of those shows that will have a surprise when you least expect it. I can feel it coming. Emily Van Camp is one of my favorite actresses. She is so versatile. She plays a lady but in one of the previous episodes she totally beat up Nolan! Gotta respect a girl that can take care of herself. Another favorite of mine is Ashley Madekwe. I love her snappy attitude and her style is impeccable. Check out her blog for way more awesome looks!

Perfect before sports, test, and other high energetic events!

This is an outstanding way to get your daily fiber and more! Fiber is a very important part of the your daily diet. It cleanses your body and helps break down unwanted chemicals floating around.

Protein is the next solid nutrient in this parfait, in order for our bodies to build healthy muscle, and function properly we need protein. The sugar from the

chocolate and marshmallows give us that fast boost of energy and satisfy our taste buds! Eating healthy can be very easy when it taste this great! The berries

give our bodies antioxidants and vitamins. The peanut butter gives us healthy fats, protein and Omega 3!

Treat your body right and fuel it with full nutrients that it's screaming for!

Eating right gives you more energy, helps your concentration, and brain function better.

Ingredients

1 Cup Fiber One Cereal!
4 Oz Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1/2 Serving Mini Marshmallows
1 Tbsp Chocolate Chip
1/3 Cup Mixed Berries
Omega 3 Peanut Butter

Directions

In a mixing bowl add Chocolate Chips, Mixed Berries, Yogurt, Peanut Butter and Fiber One Cereal mix together until evenly distributed.
In a Microwave safe bowl heat marshmallows for 10 seconds until they are connected together, add on top.

I've been a huge fan of the oversize flower ever since Carrie from Sex and the City popped on to my TV wearing one. When this awesome pin arrived in our office I just knew that the possibilities were endless when it came to styling it. Here are just three ways to wear it.

The first look mixes sweet and sexy. It shows that you can wear a sweet neutral flower with a fierce animal print skirt.

The second look is a little more funky but we love the way that the stripe blazer mixes looks with the flower.

The right pair of shoes can change your day around. A pair like the one's above can change your life. Cinderella is proof that the right pair of shoes can have quite a drastic effect on your life. That's why I just had to use these shoes as an inspiration point for today's outfit. Since I can't really afford to spend an insane amount of money on the Miu Miu pair pictured above I can at least let these gorgeous shoes inspire my outfit.

I love the color palette for the shoes! It's neutral in a bright kinda way if that makes any sense lol.

Must Read Monday: Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

If you know me then you know that I am a creature of habit. I'm loyal to a fault so when I find something I like I tend to stick to it. This applies to authors as well. I absolutely fell in love with Anna and the French Kiss (Read my review here) so when I found out that Stephanie Perkins had another book coming out as a pseudo sequel to "Anna.." then I had to pre-order it right then and there.

What's It About:
Lola and the Boy Next Door is just as funny as Anna was. This book is quirky and fun but it does touch on the serious subjects. Lola was raised by her two fathers after her mom gave her up because of her drinking problems. Lola was raised to be herself and the way she dresses reflects that. She wants to grow up to be a designer, she has awesome dad's and her boyfriend is a singer in an awesome rockband. She has great friends, which include Anna and Etienne from the previous book (thank you Stephanie!!). Unfortunately for Lola her worst nightmare comes true when her old twin neighbors move back into town and next door. She has quite a history with them, particularly Cricket whom she "used" to love.

Why You Should Read It:
First, Anna and Etienne make an appearance! Ok that's not the main reason but it is definitely a bonus. Lola and the Boy Next Door can stand on its own without the help of Anna. Lola is a girl after my own heart. She is quirky, klutzy, kinda blind, and funny. She is not afraid to be who she is even if everyone else thinks she's a little crazy. She hasn't had the easiest life but she doesn't let that get her down. She literally loves life.
Throughout the whole book you know something happened between her and Cricket and although she has a boyfriend you can't help but root for them to end up together. They are just made for each other. Lola grows up alot throughout the book but she does it without losing herself. I think that is my favorite part of the book. I think that as we grow up we lose alot of who we used to be. The fearlessness and willingness to try to be different takes a backseat to acting "mature." Lola loves her parents and she loves having their approval but she knows that their approval shouldn't come at the cost of what she wants in life. In the end Lola learns alot of great lessons and all I can say is that I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Stephanie Perkins you've done it again!
